Vive la recherche où les postes courent les rues 2 par 2 pour
tous
les couples de chercheurs qui trouvent tout ça bien pratique ...
Nous avons eu la chance d'être l'un près de l'autre pour
le DEA, la thèse et le postdoc...mais voila que les postes
permanents brisent cette belle continuité :
Riwal a obtenu un poste en Ecosse à
l'Université of
St
Andrews
et Nadia
un poste CNRS en France au
LPN.
Il s'agit maintenant de se tirer le plus vite possible de la solution
temporaire (et bien désagrable pour des jeunes mariés !)
de la séparation géographique.

là.
Research
is fun and practical : finding a joint position for couple who are
researchers is a piece of cake as they will all tell you ...
We were lucky enought to be together
during our whole PhDs and
postdocs...but here come the permanent positions to throw all that off
balance :
Nadia
got a position in France at the LPN
and
Riwal got one in Scotland, at the University of St Andrews.
Next step is to get out of the temporary (and very unpleasant) solution
of a geographical
separation as soon as possible !!

Nous fûmes donc de retour dans le vieux monde le 3
septembre, d'abord tous les deux à St Michel, au milieu des
cartons, des étagères ; puis le 14 septembre, Riwal est
parti en cure
de haggis
en Ecosse (sa rentrée était le lendemain), rejoint le 22
par Nadia
avide de goûter ce nouveau plat. Le 1 octobre, c'est la
rentrée de
Nadia ...
We went away for the old world
on September 2. First the two of us were in France, playing with
little (and big) boxes again (there's a green one, there's a yellow
one), lost in shelf and painting projects; then on September
14, Riwal left for a haggis retreat in Scotland (back to school on the
15th...) but Nadia crossed the Channel on the 22nd to try the new dish
too. October 1rst is Nadia's official first day...
